Comments and Questions:

Presented diploma thesis aims to analyze the possibility of using telematics data by global car

manufacturers to get rid of old-fashion car insurance companies; specifically offering the insurance service as an additional option to the leasing or purchasing of the car at dealer centers. Usage of data from smart cars (smart connect, autonomous driving analysis and telematics data) for enterprise and end-users is a good idea, and I believe that we will see it come to and and in our lifetimes. So the main aim of thesis: to design a concept of data usage is definitely valid

The thesis correctly covered the current state-of-the-art within the chapter of literature review. As a big plus I can see that the proposed concept was actually validated with the main stakeholders of automotive, telematics, and car-sharing businesses.

Questions for the defence 1) In what timeframe do you expect your propose solution will actually be implemented in real life? 2) Do you believe, that ”own-less” concept will actually become a reality?

Conclusion: The Master Thesis is recommended for the defence.

Suggested Grade: 2
