Body language
What is body language?
Body language is any kind of non-verbal communication we use when we say something.
We use our body language or gestures as a natural part of any communication.
There is no other way how to learn the
verbs expressing body language than to
memorize them.
SHAKE = we can shake hands when we meet someone for the first time
OR: we can shake our head when we say no NOD = we can nod our head when we
say yes
CLAP = we can clap our hands when
we make an applause
SHRUG = we can shrug our shoulders when we don‘t care or don‘t know
BLOW = we can blow our nose when it is running
FOLD = we can fold our arms when we disagree or show distance
CROSS = we can cross our legs when
we bend our knees
WHISTLE = we can whistle by letting the air come out of our mouth
WINK = we can wink when we close one or both eyes for a while
WAVE = we can wave our hand when we say hello or good bye
KICK = we can kick when we lift our
leg quickly
FROWN = we can frown when we don‘t like anything, when we look angry
POUT = we can pout our lips when we send a kiss, when we colour our lips
SNORE = we snore when we make a
loud sound while sleeping
