τ-DISTANCE IN A GENERAL TOPOLOGICAL SPACE (X, τ) WITH APPLICATION TO FIXED POINT THEORY

M. AAMRI and D. EL MOUTAWAKIL

Abstract. The main purpose of this paper is to define the notion of aτ-distance function in a general topological space (X, τ). As application, we get a generalization of the well known Banach’s fixed point theorem.

Motivated by this fact, we define the concept of a τ -distance function in a general topological space (X, τ) and we prove that symmetrizable topological spaces ([5]) and

In this paper, we use similar methods to characterize idempotent generalized hypersubstitutions of type τ 2 and determine the order of each generalized hypersubstitution of this

In this paper we characterize all idempotent generalized hypersubstitutions of type τ = (3) and determine the order of each generalized hypersubstitution of this type.. It turns

The approach to measuring the resemblance between hand movement images introduced in this paper is based on an application of the well-known Hausdorff distance measure and a

It is known that every weakly convergent sequence in a locally convex space (E, τ ) over a spherically complete field I K is τ -convergent; this follows directly from Proposition 4.3

Using the notion of weakly F-contractive mappings, we prove several new common fixed point theorems for commuting as well as noncommuting mappings on a topological space X.. By

We end with a notion of weak equivalence of topological cospans, which is sufficiently general to make the cylindrical cospan on a space equivalent to the degenerate one (2.8);

It is well known that algebro-geometric solutions of the KdV hierarchy are constructed from the Riemann theta functions associated with hyperelliptic curves, and that soliton
