The master thesis was inspired by real life experience of the author as she has perceived the change of the technological start- up operating on the local level to a globally functioning company. The research study is therefore designed as a case study mapping challenges of globally functioning teams as well as effects of pandemic on teams life and organization. The theoretical part of the thesis consists of five parts covering the historical overview, global virtual team specifics description, leadership of global teams, factors influencing the successful functioning of a global team and the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on organizational environment. The author of the thesis demonstrated good command of the relevant literature and has applied it appropriately. She was also able to apply the chosen methods. The conclusions have been drawn appropriately from data obtained through interviews. The thesis contains minor imperfections in citing (missing pages at images taken from other sources). The overall appearance of the thesis is appropriate. The student has worked independently on the thesis and cooperated actively with the company, the recommendations are practical and can be applied in real life. Questions for the defence of the thesis: Have you already discussed your findings and recommendations with the company management? Are they going to apply some of them? Do you think that your findings could be generalized to other compnies and business environments?
