Evaluation of Diploma Thesis

Study program: Mechanical Engineering Study field: Process Engineering

Author:Hector CALVOPINA

Title:CFD simulation of heat transfer in an agitated vessel with a draft tube

The author accomplished the given tasks very well. He performed numerical simulations of fluid flow and heat transfer in an agitated vessel with a draft tube using ANSYS Fluent. The author showed good skills when postprocessing the results using MATLAB software. I would expect a little more autonomy when performing the numerical simulations and working on the thesis, but on the whole, the student showed abilities and knowledge on very good level.

Evaluation: very good (B)
