Comments and Questions:

The thesis focuses on a career progression of women in the specific construction company in Honduras, particularly on the process enablers and barriers.

Theoretical part presents overview of relevant sources, including barriers and enablers in the women career progression to managerial positions, role of women in male dominated areas of society, specificities of position of women in construction industry. The chapter five presents the statistics for role of women in Honduras.

The primary research uses qualitative interviews with employees of the specific construction company.

The sample of respondents is well selected with respect to gender of respondents as well as to their hierarchical position in the company. The qualitative analysis of semi-structured interviews brings complex picture of the analyzed company. However, these outcomes cannot be generalized.

English and stylistics indicate certain problems, mainly with typos.

It is visible that author has real deep interest in the topic.

The major problem of the thesis lies in the inappropriate carefulness when working with texts of others:

The text originality control by iThenticate revealed similarity check of 19%. Detailed analysis shows that author used parts of other author’s text, which seems as a Literature review (Chapter 3.1). It is always recommended to explore the original source for its correctness and own understanding. Hence, the decreased grade of Self-reliance of author. Another problem of the theoretical part is reflected in

inappropriate citations. The author cites other texts, but does not use quotes for the direct citations, nor the exact paging (Chapter 3.1). Author should explain these issues during the defense.

Questions:

1. Which Honduras institution are helping to close the gender gap? Is educational system one of them?

2. Which international organizations are helping to close the gender gap in Honduras?

Conclusion: The Master Thesis is recommended for the defence.
