Comments and Questions:

Theoretical part is based on the literature review of relevant sources related to the electronic commerce business with special focus on protectionism, tariffs, trade barriers, the U.S.-China trade war background and specially on the specific case of AMAZON. It gives an additional information describing basic

terminology and classifications that would be used in the thesis.It covers wide trade research with the outlook of the Amazon company as the biggest online retail company in the U.S, by describing the company’s development, values, strategies, and online market place model, along with the model parties.

The thesis’s methodology is based on secondary data combination, which helps to reach the thesis goals.

The analytical part is based on interpretation of Jungle Scout and Feedvisor data, which provides

statistical data and research results of Amazon e-commerce marketplace. Results of the research part are properly interpreted and discussed with regards to the theoretical framework. The thesis goal was reached with providing strategies that would help e-commerce business to offset the additional tariff costs,

minimizing the negative impact of the trade war and maximizing profit. The author has proven solid knowledge of the theoretical concepts related to the objective of her thesis as well as their application to help evaluating and answering the research questions. The literature review is based on high quality academic and commercial sources.

Question for the defense: #How do you think that the current (COVID) situation would impact on the proposed strategies, since the e-commerce was one of the most active commercial activities for customers due the lock-downs around the world?

#Taking in count that USA’s Ex- President Trump had a lot to do with the imposition of tariffs and trade barriers , in which extent do you think your strategies could be affected , taking in count the current changes on USA government?
