Title: Active Controlled Structure
Thesis version: 1
Student: Srikanth Sreethar
1. Problematics of thesis
The aim of this thesis is to design and verify procedure of active vibration control of the structure.
The work was demanding both professionally and temporarily, especially with regard to the wide range of knowledges. The work is directly linked to actual problem The active vibration of the structure.
2. Achieved results
The results of the thesis can be considered a prepared mechanical model, equipped with an actuator for active vibration damping, an algorithm developed for vibration control on the model and last but not least numerous simulations performed on a mathematical model of the control system, which are subsequently supported by conclusions.
3. Originality of thesis
The work is logically divided into several parts. The introductory theoretical part is based on the current state of knowledge and especially on the available technical standardization. Processing is original and due to the nature of the assignment is undoubtedly the work of the student.
4. Formal essentials of thesis
The formal side of work is good. Uniform numeric format is used in graphs and tables. The adjustment is uniform, the work is consistent.
5. Questions to student
1, Could you specify what the frequency limits are with respect to the vibration minimization device used? At what frequency is the prepared system really usable?
2, For what loads can similar types of actuators be used, energy systems, heavy steel structures, civil engineering?
6. General revaluation of thesis
The student showed a very good degree of engineering skills at work. The goals of the work were fulfilled and the work is undoubtedly original. I recommend work for defense.
