In 1455 disputes over the government led to the first
battle between Lancaster and York, two branches of the family Plantagenets, War of the Roses until 1487

Tudors ruled England from the end of 15. century to beginnig of 17.
They founded protestant Anglican church
Stuarts took up the royal throne after Tudors

In 1642 there were disputes between the Parliament and King Charles I - defeated and executed in 1649.
It was proclaimed Republic and Oliver Cromwell became the protector of the country. After his death Charles II
returned to the throne and the monarchy was restored
