Konkrétní připomínky a dotazy k práci:
The aim of the thesis of Anastasia Shuvalova was to facilitate the Change Management process for large-scale enterprises with respect to create a solution that allows employees without programming skills to adjust the automated validation of the Requests for Change. The proposed solution of the exploitation of Semantic Web technologies represents the promising way of novel programming paradigms, where control algorithm is separated from knowledge-base and thus enables easy maintanance and reusability.
During the implementation of the solution, the student has to adopt many skills and techniques such as understanding of Semantic Web technological stack, a manipulation with OWL ontologies with the help of Python APIs, Semantic Web Rule Language, and automated reasoning.
The practical part is systematically discussed, including the detailed description of RFC ontology design and related SWRL rules, explanation of design decisions and following evaluation of the implementation.
The structure of the thesis conforms to the principles of the master thesis. The thesis has excellent readability and very good structure. On the other hand, there are many typos, and the thesis deserves careful proofreading. Furthermore, the form of referencing is not uniformed.
I have no major critical comments about his study that need to be addressed. However, I have the following questions for the author:
• Are all of the machine learning algorithms or models represented by black boxes?
• Is it possible to guarantee valid results of black-box models – at least with a pre-defined probability?
• Is there any limitation of the problem size for the application?
• Is RDFS itself another way of serialization as stated in the thesis? Could be RDFS serialized in RDF/XML format?
• According to Fig 7.1, there are two concepts „Servise“. What is the difference between the Services?
Overall the thesis is very interesting with very high practical value and is hence in my opinion worth grade 1.
Závěr: Diplomovou práci doporučuji k obhajobě.
