Comments and Questions:
Ariuna Choizhalsanova conducted a research in the field of luxury brands. Specifically, she focused on the production of fake goods and its impact on the luxury market in the USA and China. The main goal of the thesis is to define both the direct and indirect effects of counterfeiting on the luxury brands and consumers in the two above mentioned countries as they are the ones most impacted by the fake goods production.
I strongly appreciate that the author analysed the topic from two different perspectives – from the perspective of supply as well as demand. The former is thoroughly analysed in the first part of the thesis using various relevant sources. The latter in the second chapter. In the last part of the thesis, the author conducted a case study for the brand Louis Vuitton. The author proved to be able to use the concepts analysed in the theoretical part of the thesis. She commented on the counterfeiting measures taken by this company as well as on the impacts of the production for LV.

Could you briefly discuss whether your conclusions would be applicable for the Czech Republic?
