Comments and Questions:

The bachelor thesis deals with the role and the position of women in Contemporary Slovenian Diplomacy.

The aim of the work was to map the effects of the current diplomatic environment on the private lives and families of diplomats, and also to analyze what problems persist in the current Slovenian diplomacy.

The author was able to process a very large amount of data into a comprehensive text, which is of high quality. The work has a logical structure, the individual chapters of the work refer to each other nicely, the formal and stylistic aspects are flawless.

However, the biggest benefit of the work is the research itself. The author chose a very challenging task, namely to conduct semi-structured interviews, the interpretation of which can be quite tricky. However, the author succeeded in collecting and evaluating data precisely, thus successfully fulfilling the objectives of the work.

I see the only shortcoming in the structure of the chapters – it is not very common for academic works to be divided into more than 3 chapters (due to the depth of individual parts). Therefore, I recommend considering a different logic of the work structure in further academic works. Nevertheless, the overall impression is very good.

Questions for defence: 1) Is it possible to observe a shift in Slovenia’s foreign policy towards the principles of feminism? 2) What are the biggest positives that women bring to the environment of high politics and diplomacy?

Conclusion: The Bachelor Thesis is recommended for the defence.
