Comments and Questions:
The submitted thesis deals with a topic that had been long considered as special, but has become relatively ordinary these days. Cryptocurrencies are no longer instruments of freaks.
The first thing that attracts attention is the length of the paper, which I’m afraid falls short of the minimum number of pages. Also its structure with only two main chapters doesn’t contribute to good organization and readability. It is not easy to understand the main goal of the thesis. There are too many aims and questions in the introduction.
From my perspective, there is little contribution of this thesis. The first chapter seems to me like
a discussion paper, not being any theory or bringing author’s perspective. Interview and survey conducted for the second part are ok, but at presented stage they don’t provide any solid basis for generalization.
Therefore, I suggest the final gradegood. Questions for the defense:
1. How will the Chinese decicion on limitatio of bitcoin (both mining and acceptance) influence the cryptocurrencies market?
2. How do you see the role/position of cryptocurrencies in today’s world?
Conclusion: The Master Thesis is recommended for the defence.
Suggested Grade: 3
