Strategic Analysis of NIO Inc.
Aman Sharma
To conduct a strategic analysis of NIO Inc. and suggest recommendations for the company’s management

The introduction of the thesis is rather weak. The theoretical part starts without an introduction with the levels of strategy.
The author layers tool upon tool but does not go into depth, which is evident in the practical part. Stakeholder analysis is commented superficially and the realities of the Chinese market are missing. The factors of the PEST analysis could have been objectified. I appreciate the effort to benchmark a company with competitors, but it deserves a better presentation of the evaluation method. Scenario planning is very short and poorly commented, completely lacking suggestions for the company's actions in each scenario. The same can be said about the poorly constructed SWOT analysis. The paper lacks a conclusion, there are only recommendations in the form of bullet points.
The quality of literature resources is lacking. The author, even in the theoretical part, draws extensively from internet sources that have no author and do not go through any peer review process. Occasionally I came across grammatical errors.
Q: 1) The motivation for choosing the firm is not obvious. Why a firm operating in the Chinese market? Why is it necessary to conduct a strategic analysis of this company? Can the choice of firm/market affect the quality of the analysis? 2) The recommendation such as "maybe get in hedging option" is based on what analysis? Could you link the individual recommendations with the respective analysis?
