There is no doubt that C19 impacted the operations of all industries. This includes the aviation industry. Although many of us believe we know the reasons for this impact on commercial airlines, it is the ground operations that had to be rethought in order to meet the new hygiene requirements in addition to the usual safety and customer service. This Bachelor thesis provides important, interesting and valuable information about the impact of C19 on the Ground Handling Services. The BT does not focus on determining whether or not there was an impact, but rather seeks to measure the impact. It correctly implements process mapping tools such as SIPOC, Process Diagram and Flowcharts. But, the author implements VSM to determine the VA% change due C19. In addition to, the bachelor implements the five Operations Management performance objectives to develop the comparison. Thus, the comparison is well augmented and provides a measurement that gives a practical tool for practitioners and the enhances the current knowledge. For the defense, After C19 ends, will the process return to its previous VA% levels? Or what are the lessons learned that can improve this process beyond the culmination of the restrictions due to the C19?

The bachelor’s thesis aims to determine the influence of COVID-19 in operations management of the Aircraft and Passenger ground handling operations in Business Aviation. The entire process is analysed with the application of SIPOC and Process mapping tools. The changes appeared throughout the process are tracked by comparing the process applying the Five Performance Objectives framework “before” and “after” COVID pandemic.
