Comments and Questions:
The master thesis focuses on blockchain technology as an important tool in the digital revolution of the health care industry. This thesis provides a health care smart-contract system to facilitate complex medical procedures and medical data management. The theoretical research is based on solid literary sources.
The author used current/ suitable sources. The purpose of this thesis is to validate the potential use of blockchain in health care and to show the possible aspects and challenges of blockchain research. The master thesis consists of outlining the basic concepts of blockchain technology and problems that are faced in the healthcare systems and possible solutions to it. The main goal of the master thesis is to outline the usage of smart contracts, peer to peer connection, security and privacy improvement in healthcare that is created by blockchain technologies, and to give a framework for digital certification. This master thesis is focused on Ethereum (which is one of the alternatives to the smart contract network). The results of the analysis prove some recommendations in chapter 5. The thesis meets the goal and results in a theoretical study. Unfortunately, the student didn´t use adequate methods for research. The author’s own contribution is very small. The list of references is not correct.
Questions will remain the same: Describe and explain in more detail the fundamental values of blockchain technology in a healthcare system. Do you know any other healthcare blockchain applications?
Conclusion: The Master Thesis is recommended for the defence.
