The objective and the aim of the thesis are well laid out with a purpose to study the difference in the tendency to purchase national products vs. imported in the same product category and how this impacts consumer behavior. For the analysis, the author selected three distinctive countries France, Czechia, and Russia, and three product categories: raw-milk cheese, lager beer, and mountain honey. The author has studied the work and theories of major authors in the field of brand image, country of origin effect, and consumer behavior. She showed the ability to interconnect and work with the sources in a critical manner as well as to compare the specificities of consumers of selected regions. Methodology-wise, the author combined secondary and primary research, Secondary was used to identify factors that influence a consumer‘s choice, tendencies, and situation. The primary lead to obtaining data from targets across 3 countries generating in a total of 289 responses. The findings are well presented and the author
demonstrated the capacity to compare and contrast data from 3 selected countries in a clear and logical manner. I would only argue that hypothesis used in the work fulfill more criteria of research questions instead. In spite of that, the research performed and the comparison of the 3 countries across selected product categories brought several interesting findings to what extend quality, price and advice play the role in the decision-making process and purchasing behavior.
