Comments and Questions:
The historical background of CSR is too complex, not contributing to the objective fulfillment. On the other hand, the theoretical background of CSR concept is much appreciated. Large attention is paid to the Swedish market and specifically IKEA company that is the centre of attention.
From the typographic point of view, the text is mediocre, e.g. see page 34. In addition, the conclusion is very brief (barely one page).
I recommend very good or excellent depending on the quality of defence.
1. On page 19, you mention H&M as a example of a Swedish global company that is renowned for its socially responsible behavior in its sourcing strategy. Did the company’s contemporary position and attitude anyhow stem from the aftermath of Bangladeshi Rana Plaza collapse?
2. What were the real repercussions of dressers having killed toddlers in 2017 on image of IKEA that has paid so far millions in damages (page 37)? Do you think IKEA handled the situation well or would you recommend any different approach? Please justify your opinion.
3. Do you think that the consumers’ expectations concerning CSR in general will alter due to the economic depression resulting from Chinese virus pandemic?
Conclusion: The Bachelor Thesis is recommended for the defence.
