Impacts of COVID-19 on the shift in e-commerce paradigm

The goal of the thesis was to provide a comprehensive review of researched topic in the form of a literature review and by analyzing number of available secondary data draw a complex summary and provide a set of guidelines and recommendations on the future e-commerce development for businesses engaged in this industry according to suggestions of professional experts in the field.

Evaluation of the thesis could be done from two perspectives. First, author is providing an excellent literature review and an in- depth insight into the given topic. He uses the relevant, good quality, up to date secondary data and is also able to interpret them in a correct manner. The reader can really understand the effects of a pandemic on the e-commerce business, on consumer behavior and also the subsequent reactions of retailers. By summarizing the current challenges and opportunities, subsequently, he was able to offer the guidelines and recommendations for the businesses.
On the other hand, as he was using the secondary data and various reports, conclusions and assumptions of the experts in the respected industries, many of the recommendations are just reproduced and mostly very general.
Thus the biggest value of the thesis is the way the practical part is structured and how the various data and information are organized so it provides a well-elaborated overview.
Unfortunately, the connection between the theoretical and practical part is not evident at some parts. E.g. author is mentioning the strategic and financial analysis, but never employed any of them in the thesis (however they are mentioned in the
Conclusion under the Analysis part).
Could author also elaborate more on the first figures included in the chapter "3.5.4 Promising markets for sustained growth"
displaying the e-commerce potentioal (share) as of 2019? It seems that he has not commented on that (I mean in every subchapter - i.e. Figures 16, 18, 20, 22, 24).
